Fishing Report Week Ending 23 April 2017

Gary McGinley started the week of with a good catch of 12 on cormorants and fab, then on Tuesday G. Welsh had 14 on crunchers, then Steven Walker 14 on red diawl bachs. Dave MacTaggart 13 . The numbers caught were impressive. All week the Loch fished well. Edinburgh post office had 40 on c/r on buzzers. The average rod catch during last week was 5. The weather is to be very mixed this week and colder so that will change tactics again.

Again fishing near the surface is where most action is. The heather hills and school bay are full of fish at the moment. Anglers fishing there are getting big bag numbers at the moment. Washing line method with a fab or booby on point and two droppers with crunchers or cormorants is doing very well. Also straight line buzzers worked well. It is a olive buzzer that is coming off at the moment. About a size 10.
